My parents used to take a caravan there each summer when I was young ... the walk along the Brig is splendid, finishing at the old Roman stone jetty out at the tip. Some interesting rock pools too, especially on the north side.
Yes, I have done it in the past, but last time I visited some of the Brigg was closed off due to a landslip - not sure what the situation is now but I will probably get there in the spring.
Beautiful!
Absolutely nothing better than beach strolls ❤️🙏
Thanks - I agree :-)
A wonderful piece and great images too. Thanks for sharing. Last time I was down that way was nearly two years ago when we finished the Cleveland Way.
Thanks so much. Well done for completing the Cleveland Way! I have probably done most bits of it over the years, but not all together lol :-)
Thanks so much - I am surprised how many people know it, lol :-)
Filey beach .... oh I love a stroll there too.
This is so beautiful, especially the fourth photo. Gorgeous light!
Thanks so much for your kind comment:-)
Lovely read Angie. A spot both my wife and I know well. A good place to hold hands.
Super shots.
Also one of the last places we took my mother before she was unable to get out and about.
Fabulous memories, thank you.
Thanks so much. Yes, I also used to take my Grandmother (who brought me up) there, so again special memories.

Lovely photos! I love beaches at low tide, out of season... and chips at the end of a walk has to be done!
Thanks - I absolutely agree :-)
A beautiful story to go with your beautiful photos.
Thanks so much :-)
Looks stunning!
Thank you :-)
That was a bit of nostalgia, haven't been there for fifty years. Will you follow up with a walk along Riley Big next?
Thanks. It is a while since I have been on Filey Brigg, but it is on a (very long) list of places I want to visit soon!
