Hi! I’m AngieDawn, and I live just outside York in beautiful North Yorkshire, England.

Here I will introduce you to many of the beautiful parks, gardens, nature reserves and countryside locations around my Yorkshire home, and some further afield.

I am a keen hobby photographer, birdwatcher and gardener. Wetlands, woodlands, gardens and quiet coastal locations are among my favourite habitats - the places where I feel most at home.

I have also traveled extensively within Europe, mostly to places that are not on the main tourist routes. My partner Matt and I don’t like crowds and noise, so we seek out quiet places where we can explore at our own slow pace and appreciate the nature and natural beauty.

Here I would like to share my photography, and introduce readers to some of the places I visit regularly, and some I have discovered on my travels. Many of these places are off the beaten track, and not widely known.

Whether you are visiting this part of the world, or merely an armchair traveler, I do hope you will enjoy reading about these special places.

I will aim to publish regularly (at least once a week), but prefer not to commit to a strict schedule. Posts will appear when they are ready, together with shorter notes and observations on a regular basis.
