This looks such a magical place Angie, and you describe its peace and winter beauty so perfectly ❤️ It seems just the kind of spot I'd really fall in love with too.
I completely connect with your feeling of finding joy and belonging amongst the noise of Nature too; the bustle of natural sounds just feels so comforting and familiar compared to the unpredictable, often stressful sounds of humanity. Being amongst Nature is a much more real, grounded place where we can reconnect to our natural environment ❤️
I didn't realize you actually knew this area! Google makes it much easier to find local places of interest these days - but if I have missed any out do let me know :-)
Thank you for another wonderful guide, Angie: and it sounds and looks to be such a beautiful, calming place. Strange to think that areas of woodland can be so rare not so far from where I live… – although, of course, there are areas of the Lake District that look like Easter Island. I’m glad you had such lovely weather, too (plus yummy-sounding muffins)!
Thank you for mentioning Derek Radcliffe - it's a name I have long forgotten
I am so full of admiration for the work he did - thanks so much for reading :-)

Thank you - yes, I absolutely agree :-)
Thanks for this Angie. I've not visited here. One to add to my list.
Thank you - it is small but definitely worth a visit :-)
You have a talent for finding lovely places for nature. I never knew it was there, despite spending days of my misspent youth at Kirkbride airfield.

I was a student in Liverpool when I first went there then working in Ambleside, but I didn’t explore much unless the weather was bad.

Thanks so much (the muffins were lovey!)
